About

Bryan Lyon is a seasoned AI innovator with over 15 years of experience in artificial intelligence from the earliest stages of Neural Networks to today’s advanced LLMs. With a Master’s in English, and a Bachelor’s in Computational Linguistics, Bryan combines deep technical expertise with a strong foundation in language and communication.

Bryan has held key leadership roles across several pioneering AI startups, including founding CTO positions at DeepMake and Doppel AI, and is a co-founder and developer of faceswap.dev, the leading open source tool for deepfakes. He has been a driving force in open source AI development since 2006, focusing on practical, ethical applications of generative AI and face replacement technologies.

As a CTO, Bryan led efforts to democratize advanced AI tools for media and VFX, building open core solutions that make working with AI faster and more accessible. As an author and speaker he shared insights on deepfakes, generative AI, and the future of media.
